As a new initiative, Awhina House had no digital presence to communicate its mission, raise awareness, or connect with the community.
With only a brief set of conversations and their existing mission statement to guide the work, the project did not involve a deep research phase. Instead, the focus was on defining a simple audience need: communicating the shelter’s mission clearly to women seeking support as well as to potential donors and volunteers. This led to a basic outline of key pages and lightweight goals for a small, updateable website.
A short brand guide and included Home, About, Services, How to Help, and Contact. I also defined a basic CMS model for news and resources, along with a set of reusable components such as a hero section, service cards, and a contact block. Quick sketches and wireframes were used to validate layout and content emphasis before moving to design
The design process emphasized new digital assets with restrained use of color and typography to keep some clarity. In Webflow, I created reusable components and set up a minimal CMS to allow the shelter team to update the site over time. The project concluded with a simple handoff, providing notes on how to add new posts and resources.

This was a short engagement project aimed at publishing a first-version site quickly. The goal was not a polished long-term platform but an initial presence that could grow and evolve as the initiative matured.
